Gifu City, located in the Chubu region of Japan, is the capital of Gifu Prefecture and is rich in historical and cultural attractions.
The city is home to many historical sites, including Gifu Castle, built by the renowned warlord Oda Nobunaga during the Sengoku period, and Gifu Park, which features beautiful gardens and a tea house.

岐阜城について
The one who controls Mino controls the world – Gifu Castle.
美濃を制する者は天下を制す 岐阜城
Located at the summit of Mount Kinka, Gifu Castle.
It is said that during the Kamakura period, Tsunashige Nikaido first built a fortress here,
and during the Sengoku period, Dosan Saito entered the castle.
金華山山頂に位置する岐阜城。
鎌倉時代に二階堂行政が初めて砦を築いたといわれ、戦国時代には斎藤道三が入城。
岩山にそびえる”難攻不落の城”として知られました。
It was known as the “impregnable castle” standing on the rocky mountain.
In September of Eiroku 10 (1567),
Nobunaga Oda acquired the castle and changed the place name from “Inokuchi” to “Gifu”
and the castle name from “Inabayama Castle” to “Gifu Castle.
永禄10（1567）年9月、城を手に入れた織田信長公は地名を「井口」から「岐阜」、
城の名を「稲葉山城」から「岐阜城」に改称したとされています。
” For about ten years until the construction of Azuchi Castle,
he used this place as a base to aim for the unification of the country.
そして安土城を建設するまでの約10年間、この地を拠点として天下統一を目指しました。
